Embraer teams with AMMROC and GAL on Middle East defense prospects.

Embraer Defense & Security has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading UAE-based aerospace companies, AMMROC and Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL). These strategic agreements mark a significant step in Embraer’s expansion within the Middle East defense market, focusing on collaborative opportunities centered on the KC-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft.

The primary objective of the partnerships is to explore joint ventures in development and support services, with a strong emphasis on establishing regional Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and training capabilities for the KC-390 fleet. The collaboration aims to create a comprehensive support ecosystem within the UAE, potentially covering aftermarket services, logistics, engineering for modifications, and tailored training programs to meet specific operational requirements.

Leadership from all three companies emphasized the strategic importance of the agreements. Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, stated the MoU reinforces a shared vision for delivering mission-ready support solutions. Abdelrahman AlHammadi, Acting CEO of GAL, highlighted the partnership as a milestone in strengthening sovereign defense capabilities and positioning the UAE as a regional aerospace hub.

Bosco Da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, underscored the move as part of Embraer’s long-term commitment to the region, aiming to enhance local industrial capabilities while providing world-class support for advanced defense assets.

The partnerships are strategically aligned with the proven performance of the KC-390 Millennium. Since entering service, the aircraft has demonstrated exceptional reliability with high mission capability rates. As the world’s fastest tactical transport in its category, the KC-390 offers superior payload capacity, speed, and versatility for missions ranging from cargo transport and aerial refueling to humanitarian and disaster response.

By combining Embraer’s aircraft expertise with the deep regional presence and service network of AMMROC and GAL, the collaboration is poised to offer unmatched lifecycle support for current and future KC-390 operators in the Middle East and beyond.
