CAE and InterGlobe launch Mumbai pilot training centre to boost India’s aviation growth.

by Editorial Staff

CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL)—a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE—has opened its fourth advanced pilot training centre in Mumbai. The 44,000-square-foot facility strengthens India’s pilot training capacity and supports the country’s rapidly growing aviation sector.

The centre begins operations with an Airbus A320 full-flight simulator (FFS). A second A320 FFS will be added later this year, with the ability to scale up to six simulators based on market demand.

This expansion makes CSTPL India’s largest pilot training organization. Its network—including centres in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru—currently has 16 full-flight simulators, with plans to reach 23 in the coming years. The Mumbai centre will provide type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency checks across Airbus, ATR, and Boeing aircraft.

India needs approximately 22,000 new pilots by 2034, according to CAE’s Aviation Talent Forecast. The new centre is strategically located to serve both Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports, helping airlines meet regulatory standards more efficiently.

Alexandre Prévost, President of Civil Aviation at CAE, said the centre reinforces CAE’s global training network and supports market-led growth in India. Aditya Pande, Group CEO of InterGlobe Enterprises, called the inauguration a defining milestone for the country’s aviation ecosystem, highlighting the 12-year partnership’s commitment to safety and excellence.

The inauguration was attended by leadership teams from CAE, InterGlobe, and CSTPL, along with key aviation stakeholders.
