Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has extended its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) relationship with StandardAero for its CFM International LEAP-1A engines. The new General Terms Agreement (GTA) establishes StandardAero as a provider for Performance Restoration Shop Visits (PRSVs), supporting SalamAir’s fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, emphasized the partnership’s importance: “Today’s announcement represents a key pillar in our ongoing LEAP-1A strategy. As a fast-growing LCC, we require strong partners who can support our ambitions. StandardAero’s ability to support quick-turn shop visits and their overall approach places them as a key partner in our growth plan.”

StandardAero, a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, performs this work at its 810,000 sq. ft. facility in San Antonio, Texas. “We are very pleased to further strengthen our existing LEAP-1A relationship with SalamAir,” said Olivier Ruffet, Vice President of Sales for StandardAero. “Having already completed quick-turn visits for the airline, we are grateful for their trust as we now extend our support to include PRSVs.”

The company’s comprehensive support for the LEAP engine family includes industrializing over 350 new component repairs through its Component Repair Services (CRS) network and Repair Development Center of Excellence. Furthermore, StandardAero is cultivating future talent through its in-house Aviation Mechanic Training Program at its San Antonio Training Academy, ensuring a skilled workforce for continued support of operators like SalamAir.
