LONDON — Rolls-Royce announced the launch of its enhanced LessorCare+ program, naming global aircraft lessor Avolon as its launch customer. This next-generation solution marks a strategic evolution of the companies’ longstanding partnership, designed to deliver greater predictability and aligned interests between lessors and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Building on the foundation of the innovative LessorCare program, LessorCare+ offers expanded insight and an integrated suite of services tailored specifically for the asset management community. It focuses on key lessor pain points: transactions, fleet management, aircraft transitions, and technical support. The enhanced program is engineered to simplify the complexities of modern engine management by improving transparency, reducing operational and financial risk, and optimizing lifecycle planning, all supported by expedited service levels.
“Lessors and asset owners represent one of our most critical customer groups, and their business model requires unique, flexible support,” said Luke Mallows, SVP – Marketing & Leasing at Rolls-Royce. “We’re proud to welcome Avolon as the launch customer for LessorCare+. This isn’t just a product launch; it’s a milestone in our collaboration, reflecting our commitment to evolve our services in step with our partners’ needs.”
For lessors like Avolon, which manages a growing fleet of Rolls-Royce Trent-powered aircraft, engine performance and residual value are paramount. The LessorCare+ framework is built to support these priorities by creating a more cohesive partnership model between the lessor and the OEM.
“Avolon is delighted to become the launch customer for LessorCare+ and to expand our successful, long-term relationship with Rolls-Royce,” said Mark Harrison, SVP and Senior Manager – Powerplant at Avolon. “This enhanced service allows for greater efficiency and predictability, which directly benefits our airline customers. By aligning our models more closely, we can deliver optimal fleet solutions and ensure our assets perform at their highest potential throughout the lease cycle.”
The aviation industry faces increasing pressure for efficiency, sustainability, and asset performance. Programs like LessorCare+ represent a shift toward deeper, data-driven partnerships between lessors and engine manufacturers. By providing a holistic support system that spans an engine’s entire lifecycle within a lessor’s portfolio, Rolls-Royce aims to provide its partners with the tools for superior fleet management, ultimately enhancing asset value and operational reliability.
The launch with Avolon sets a new benchmark for OEM-lessor collaboration, signaling Rolls-Royce’s focused strategy to be the partner of choice for the asset finance community in an increasingly dynamic aviation market.
