StandardAero, a global leader in aerospace aftermarket services, has secured a new contract with Mauritania Airlines to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for its engine fleet. The agreement covers the CFM56-7B and LEAP-1B turbofan engines that power the airline’s Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
This award expands an existing partnership between the two companies, which previously included APU services for Mauritania Airlines’ regional fleet. The first engines under the new contract—a CFM56-7B and a LEAP-1B—have already entered StandardAero’s facilities in Winnipeg, Canada, and San Antonio, Texas, respectively.
“We are honored that Mauritania Airlines has chosen us for these critical engine programs,” said Guillaume Limouzy, Airline Sales Director at StandardAero. “This decision reinforces the trust we’ve built together and underscores our commitment to delivering responsive, reliable support tailored to the needs of growing fleet operators. We look forward to supporting their operations long into the future.”
StandardAero brings deep expertise to both engine models. The company has been an authorized CFM56-7B MRO provider since 2010, offering full-scope services from its Winnipeg center. It has since expanded CFM56-7B capacity to a second engine line in Dallas, Texas, providing customers with increased scheduling flexibility and test cell redundancy.
For the next-generation LEAP engines, StandardAero’s San Antonio facility operates as a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider. The company strengthened its position in 2023 by signing the first non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement in the Americas for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B. Its capabilities are further enhanced by a growing portfolio of over 350 industrialized component repairs developed in-house for the LEAP family.
Supporting this technical expansion is a dedicated investment in workforce development. StandardAero’s Aviation Mechanic Training Program, based at its San Antonio Training Academy, continues to develop new technicians to meet rising demand for LEAP and other advanced engine services.
Through this contract, Mauritania Airlines gains access to a global MRO network with deep product knowledge, flexible capacity, and a focus on partnership-driven support.
