EPCOR BV, a leader in aircraft component maintenance, and Norse Atlantic Airways have signed a new long-term maintenance partnership. The comprehensive agreement covers full repair and maintenance services for the APS5000 auxiliary power units (APUs) across Norse Atlantic’s fleet of twelve Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Announced at MRO Europe 2025, this marks the inaugural collaboration between the two companies. The deal is strategically significant for Norse Atlantic’s low-cost, long-haul model. By centralizing APU support with EPCOR’s specialized expertise, the airline aims to achieve higher operational reliability, minimize aircraft downtime, and gain greater predictability in maintenance costs—all vital for its transatlantic network expansion.
“We are proud to support Norse Atlantic with our flexible, high-quality solutions for the APS5000,” said Rob van de Graaf, EPCOR’s Commercial Director. “This partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence and reliability. We look forward to contributing to their growth and ensuring maximum fleet performance.”
For Norse Atlantic, securing a trusted MRO provider for this critical system is a key operational move. The airline emphasizes that consistent technical performance is foundational to its customer promise and affordable fare structure.
“This agreement underscores our dedication to reliable service,” said Ahmad Abu Nima, VP Technical Operations at Norse Atlantic Airways. “EPCOR’s proven capabilities with the APS5000 give us confidence as we grow. This collaboration helps ensure our 787s operate at peak performance, supporting our commitment to affordable and more sustainable travel.”
The partnership also incorporates a sustainability angle, focusing on extending component lifespan and reducing waste through expert maintenance practices. This aligns with the airline’s broader environmental objectives, aiming to set new standards for efficiency within the long-haul, low-cost sector.
The agreement represents a milestone for both companies, signaling a joint focus on innovation, operational resilience, and responsible growth as Norse Atlantic continues to expand its footprint in the competitive transatlantic market.
