Milrem Robotics will showcase its THeMIS Combat unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), integrated with Valhalla’s LOKI Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS), at the Defense & Security 2025 exhibition in Bangkok from 10–13 November.
The featured configuration is a cost-efficient model with expanded cargo capacity, developed in direct response to evolving operational needs from end-users. The THeMIS Combat is engineered for high-threat environments, allowing military units to identify and engage threats remotely before committing personnel. As a key element in the Forward Line of Robotics concept, its role is to neutralize enemy assets and create momentum for ground forces to advance with minimized risk.
“The THeMIS Combat shows how unmanned systems are reshaping ground warfare,” stated Patrick Shepherd, Chief Sales Officer at Milrem Robotics. “It merges mobility, firepower, and versatility, enabling units to project combat power more swiftly and safely. This platform doesn’t just support troops—it fundamentally extends their operational reach and battlefield resilience.”
The integration with the LOKI RCWS provides precise, modular firepower. Capable of mounting weapons from 5.56 mm to 12.7 mm calibre, LOKI can engage targets up to 2,000 metres away. Beyond direct fire, the system can be configured for counter-drone (CUAS) missions, broadening its tactical utility. Its compact design, paired with the THeMIS’s substantial payload capacity, allows for the simultaneous carriage of mission-critical supplies or additional specialist payloads, offering a dual combat and logistical benefit to dismounted units.
This combination of the THeMIS Combat UGV and LOKI RCWS underscores the transformative impact of unmanned systems on modern tactics. By delivering enhanced force protection, extending the battlefield reach of infantry, and increasing overall mission effectiveness in complex terrains, such systems are becoming indispensable for future operational success.
