ST Engineering’s Marine business has secured a six-year, S$600 million sub-contract from ADSB to design and supply platform systems for eight Missile Gun Boats being built for the Kuwait Naval Force, with ST Engineering constructing three of the vessels in Singapore. The contract extends a partnership from a 2021 ADSB award for UAE Navy patrol vessels. The Missile Gun Boats will be based on ST Engineering’s proprietary Fearless-class patrol vessel, purpose-built for Middle East operations. The design includes high redundancy for critical systems to maximise mission readiness, plus advanced platform systems that enhance navigation precision and manoeuvrability for littoral and blue water deployments. “The growing acceptance of our design across the Middle East—Oman, UAE, and now Kuwait—reflects customer confidence in its robust operational performance,” said Tan Leong Peng.
