Robin Radar Systems has partnered with counter-drone provider DroneShield to integrate its IRIS 3D CUAS radar into DroneShield’s aerial defense ecosystem, enabling smarter, layered protection against unauthorized drones.

DroneShield builds smart systems for detecting, tracking, identifying, and mitigating UAV threats. Through an ecosystem-first model, the company collaborates with third-party sensor providers, allowing operators to tailor detection technology to their specific operational needs.

Robin’s IRIS radar offers long-range 3D tracking with advanced micro-Doppler and deep-learning capabilities, achieving a low false alarm rate. It deploys in under 15 minutes and features an interoperable API for seamless integration across platforms, with flexible mounting on buildings, tripods, or vehicles.

“We’re fast, adaptive, and built for integration,” said Marcel Verdonk, CCO of Robin Radar Systems. “Partnering with DroneShield allows us to combine our radar with their CUAS platform for smarter airspace protection.”

IRIS will integrate with DroneShield’s DroneSentry-C2, a real-time command-and-control platform that synthesizes data from multiple sensors into a unified picture, supporting clearer decision-making.

“Operators need systems that adapt to their mission,” said Angus Bean, Chief Product Officer at DroneShield. “This partnership gives customers more freedom to design their airspace security architecture.”

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to securing global skies through reliable, collaborative technologies that protect people and critical infrastructure.
