Lufthansa Technik has secured its largest engine services commitment in China through an exclusive, long-term agreement with Juneyao Group. The partnership covers comprehensive CFM56 engine overhauls for Juneyao Air and its low-cost carrier, 9 Air.
Spanning more than 40 engine events, the agreement includes overhauls, condition monitoring, and engineering consultation for the airlines’ CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines. All services will be conducted at Lufthansa Technik’s engine shop in Hamburg, Germany.
The deal builds on over a decade of cooperation between the two companies in areas such as Single Component Maintenance and Mobile Engine Services, now expanding into full engine overhaul support.
Junjin Wang, Chairman of Juneyao Group, emphasized the importance of reliability: “To ensure stable operations and seamless technical processes, it is essential for us to collaborate with a reliable partner. We are looking forward to strengthening this cooperation even further.”
Dennis Kohr, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, stated: “This partnership is a tremendous honor and milestone for us. We are excited to support both Juneyao Air and 9 Air in maintaining their operational excellence as they continue to grow.”
