Fokker Services Group (FSG) has announced a major expansion of its relationship with Air Nostrum Engineering and Maintenance (ANEM), signing a new long-term power-by-the-hour agreement. The deal covers the entirety of Air Nostrum’s current fleet of 30 Mitsubishi CRJ NG aircraft, based at their hub in Valencia, Spain. It signifies a substantial broadening of the support scope between the two organizations.

Building on an existing foundation of cooperation, the new contract introduces a more comprehensive service scope delivered through FSG’s ABACUS program. This full-service agreement is precisely tailored to Air Nostrum’s operational reality, combining component maintenance, inventory support, and 24/7 availability guarantees. The structure is designed to offer the airline stability and predictability, shifting maintenance cost management to a flight-hour-based model.

For ANEM, the extended agreement provides a pathway to enhanced operational performance and long-term planning stability. By outsourcing the complexities of component management to FSG, Air Nostrum can ensure its fleet maintains the highest levels of dispatch reliability. The partnership focuses on delivering sustainable value by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, directly supporting the airline’s schedule integrity.

Fermin Tirado, Managing Director of ANEM, expressed satisfaction with the renewed agreement, citing the proven expertise of FSG as a key factor. He stated that the airline’s operational demands require a partner that offers both reliability and adaptability, and the ABACUS program aligns perfectly with these needs.

Dirk Hanenberg of FSG reinforced this sentiment, highlighting the importance of trust in the long-standing partnership. He noted that FSG’s decades of experience in the regional sector allow them to provide the precise support necessary for Air Nostrum to optimize its fleet. The agreement is seen as a strategic move to foster ongoing growth and ensure the continued success of the airline’s CRJ operations.
