StandardAero secures MRO contract with AviLease for LEAP/CFM56.

StandardAero has entered into a new General Terms Agreement (GTA) with aircraft lessor AviLease, formalizing a framework to deliver specialized maintenance services for the lessor’s CFM56-7B and LEAP engine fleets. The agreement leverages StandardAero’s extensive global network and deep technical capabilities to support AviLease’s diverse customer base.

For AviLease, which manages a modern portfolio of 200 aircraft, securing robust aftermarket support is critical to maintaining asset value and lessee satisfaction. By partnering with StandardAero, a pure-play independent MRO provider, AviLease gains access to flexible, high-quality engine services that can be deployed across its worldwide operations, aligning with its mission to become a dominant force in global aviation leasing.

StandardAero’s capabilities under this agreement are anchored by significant investments in facilities and technology. In San Antonio, Texas, the company operates as a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, offering comprehensive support for the LEAP-1A and -1B engines that power the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX families. To further enhance its LEAP offering, StandardAero’s Component Repair Services team has industrialized more than 475 specific component repairs, minimizing the need for expensive replacements.

Simultaneously, StandardAero continues to strengthen its legacy CFM56-7B support. With major MRO operations in Winnipeg and a growing line at DFW International Airport, the company provides critical redundancy and capacity for the vast Boeing 737NG fleet. These facilities are complemented by a full suite of ancillary services, including engine health monitoring data analysis and used serviceable material (USM) asset management.

Olivier Ruffet, Vice President Sales – EMEA at StandardAero, emphasized the partnership’s value: “This GTA enables us to deploy our comprehensive LEAP and CFM56 capabilities in direct support of AviLease’s growth. We are ready to provide the technical solutions and responsive service that a dynamic global lessor requires.”
