Bombardier has completed the acquisition of Velocity Maintenance Solutions, a well-regarded Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) provider, through its U.S. subsidiary, Learjet Inc. The move represents the latest step in Bombardier’s broader effort to grow its aftermarket services business and enhance support for business aircraft operators across North America.
Based at the Wilmington, Delaware airport, Velocity Maintenance Solutions operates out of a 35,000-square-foot hangar and maintains a fleet of 14 mobile repair trucks positioned across the United States. The company has built a reputation for responsive, high-quality service—capabilities that Bombardier plans to integrate into its existing global support network. With the addition of this new location and its mobile support infrastructure, Bombardier aims to offer operators more flexible and accessible maintenance options in key regions.
“Velocity Maintenance Solutions brings a customer-focused culture that aligns closely with our own priorities,” said Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Aftermarket Services. “We are excited to welcome their experienced team and support them as they continue delivering the excellent service their clients have come to expect. This acquisition reflects our broader commitment to raising the bar on service, a focus that has earned us top rankings in industry surveys for two consecutive years.”
Bombardier has been steadily expanding its services division through a combination of infrastructure investments and strategic acquisitions. The integration of Velocity Maintenance Solutions adds both physical capacity and geographic reach, reinforcing Bombardier’s ability to serve customers where they operate most frequently. Mobile repair capabilities, in particular, are seen as an increasingly important component of minimizing aircraft downtime and providing flexible solutions for operators.
The transaction is part of a longer-term strategy by Bombardier to build a comprehensive, high-performance service ecosystem around its aircraft. By adding specialized expertise and broadening its footprint in the U.S., the company continues to position itself as a leader not only in aircraft manufacturing but also in the growing aftermarket services sector.
With this acquisition, Bombardier reinforces its commitment to delivering convenience, responsiveness, and technical excellence to operators worldwide.
