Airbus and Thai Airways International (THAI) have deepened their collaboration by extending their long-term Fleet Hourly Services (FHS) component support agreement to include the airline’s incoming fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft. The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2012 and now adapts to support THAI’s ongoing fleet modernization.
The new, comprehensive contract will cover component services for 32 A321neo jets, which began joining the airline’s operations from 2025. It expands the scope of the original 2012 agreement, which was established to support 20 A320ceo family aircraft.
Under the FHS “Power-by-the-Hour” model, Thai Airways will gain access to a full suite of support services designed to optimize fleet performance and cost predictability. Key benefits include on-site spare parts inventory at Bangkok’s main hub, access to Airbus’s global component pool, and dedicated repair services. Furthermore, the airline will receive direct engineering expertise and regional FHS representative support, ensuring close coordination for daily maintenance and enhanced operational reliability.
“Extending our FHS agreement with THAI to support their A321neo fleet demonstrates the strength of our long-standing relationship and our commitment to supporting the airline’s fleet modernisation strategy,” said Anand Stanley, President of Airbus Asia-Pacific. “Through comprehensive component support and local engineering presence, we are helping THAI optimise operations as it introduces the next generation of single-aisle aircraft.”
Airbus’s FHS program is a globally recognized support solution, leveraging the manufacturer’s engineering expertise, digital tools, and data analytics. It is designed to help airlines maximize aircraft availability and operational efficiency while controlling long-term maintenance costs. This extension with Thai Airways underscores the airline’s continued confidence in Airbus’s integrated support network as it advances its fleet renewal plans.
