Echodyne Radar joins Digital Force’s Seraphim counter-UAS systems.

by Editorial Staff

Echodyne has been chosen by Digital Force Technologies (DFT) to provide the primary radar systems for its Seraphim family of Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS). This integration will see Echodyne’s market-leading EchoShield® and EchoGuard® radars incorporated across the modular Seraphim product line, which is designed for the autonomous detection, tracking, and defeat of drone threats.

The partnership is a key component of DFT’s role in the TERAPIN project, a United States Marine Corps initiative aimed at delivering ultra-endurance, autonomous mobile sensor platforms for expeditionary forces. These systems are intended to provide persistent surveillance, early warning, and edge processing in remote and austere environments, supporting Marine Littoral Regiments and the broader Naval Expeditionary Force.

DFT selected Echodyne for its radars’ high fidelity detection, precision tracking, and classification capabilities. Echodyne’s patented MESA (Metamaterial Electronically Scanned Array) architecture produces radar systems that are exceptionally compact, lightweight, and power-efficient (low SWaP), while delivering the performance required for critical defense missions. This solid-state, zero-sustainment design is suited for operations across maritime, land, and air domains and can be adapted to fixed-site, portable, or on-the-move applications.

“Echodyne shares Digital Force Technologies’ commitment to delivering adaptable solutions that advance mission success and enhance warfighter safety, awareness, and capabilities,” said Justin MacLaurin, CEO of Digital Force Technologies. He emphasized that the Seraphim C-UAS represents the cutting-edge, autonomous solutions needed to meet rapidly evolving threats.

Eben Frankenberg, CEO of Echodyne, stated, “This selection demonstrates again that cutting-edge Defense solutions are turning to Echodyne radar for market-leading accuracy, precision, and reliability. Counter-UAS is critical to every force and mission, and we are thrilled to be acknowledged as the ideal radar provider for DFT’s Seraphim solutions.”

The integrated systems will be showcased at The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition from October 13-25, 2025, in Washington, D.C., at booth 147 in Hall ABC.
