Embraer and Airlink broaden E2 collaboration with component pool.

Embraer and Southern Africa’s Airlink have strengthened their long-standing partnership by signing a Component Pool Program agreement to support ten new Embraer E195-E2 jets. The aircraft are being acquired by Airlink through a series of leases with lessor Azorra.

This new agreement extends the existing Embraer Pool Program, which already supports the remainder of Airlink’s all-Embraer fleet. With the inclusion of the ten E2s, the comprehensive program will now cover a total of 78 aircraft in the carrier’s fleet. The program is designed to enhance operational efficiency by significantly reducing fleet downtime and optimizing aircraft reliability and availability.

Airlink, a customer since 2001, operates an extensive network across Southern and East Africa. Its fleet serves 47 destinations in 15 countries, including regional destinations like Madagascar and St Helena Island, alongside specialized charters.

“Expanding the Embraer component inventory agreement to cover our new Embraer E195-E2s provides the operational security we need as we deploy these aircraft,” said Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht. “It is a key step in helping us achieve the maximum operational, commercial and economic benefits we expect from these new additions to our fleet.”

Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement. “We are proud to support the E2 operations at Airlink, a flagship example of innovation in regional aviation. This Pool Program agreement reflects our commitment to operational excellence and reinforces our role in supporting Airlink’s growth strategy in the region.”

Embraer’s global Pool Program provides airlines with comprehensive component support, leveraging the company’s technical expertise and extensive services network. The model offers carriers significant savings by reducing costs associated with component repair, inventory holding, and warehousing, all while operating under guaranteed performance levels. This agreement underscores Embraer Services & Support’s focus on delivering customized after-sales solutions to support the expanding global fleet of Embraer aircraft.
