Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has solidified its long-standing partnership with Shenzhen Airlines through a new three-year engine maintenance agreement, extending through 2027. The contract, which also covers Shenzhen Airlines’ subsidiary, Kunming Airlines, focuses on comprehensive support for their fleet of CFM56-7B engines.

This agreement represents a significant expansion of a trusted collaboration that began over a decade ago. The decision by Shenzhen Airlines, a major Chinese carrier with a fleet exceeding 200 aircraft, was driven by AFI KLM E&M’s proven track record in delivering high-quality maintenance and reliable turnaround times. All engine work will be performed at the state-of-the-art KLM Engine Facilities in Amsterdam, leveraging deep technical expertise on the globally popular CFM56-7B engine.

Tommaso Auriemma, Vice President Sales Asia Pacific at AFI KLM E&M, emphasized the company’s commitment to tailored support. “Our focus is on providing flexible, top-tier maintenance solutions,” he stated. “As our partners navigate fleet optimization, our dedicated slot management and global support network are designed to ensure their operational continuity, safety, and efficiency.”

For Shenzhen Airlines, the renewal is a strategic move to guarantee fleet reliability. Mr. Wu Jun, Vice President of Shenzhen Airlines Co., Ltd., commented, “Selecting AFI KLM E&M as a primary maintenance provider is a key decision for our operational integrity. We are confident that their global capabilities and extensive experience will support our growth and uphold our unwavering commitment to passenger safety.”

The partnership underscores AFI KLM E&M’s position as a leading MRO provider in the Asia-Pacific region and highlights a shared focus on technical excellence and long-term reliability as both airlines continue to develop their networks across China and international destinations.
