Embraer has solidified its long-standing partnership with Republic Airways through a significant multi-year contract extension. The agreement ensures that Embraer will continue to provide comprehensive heavy maintenance services for Republic’s entire fleet of over 240 E170 and E175 aircraft.
The maintenance work will be centralized at Embraer’s state-of-the-art Services & Support hub in Nashville, Tennessee, a facility that has been the backbone of Republic’s E-Jet upkeep since 2011. This renewed partnership also encompasses continued support for components and critical Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) repairs, guaranteeing minimal operational disruptions for the airline.
Frank Stevens, Vice President of MRO Services at Embraer Services & Support, emphasized the strategic importance of the extension. “This renewed agreement is a testament to our shared commitment to excellence and reinforces our dedication to providing Republic Airways with unparalleled service and support,” Stevens stated. “Our focus remains on delivering the highest standards of safety and operational quality for all our customers throughout the United States.”
The collaboration between the two companies boasts a substantial track record. To date, Republic Airways has completed more than 650 heavy maintenance visits at the Nashville facility, accumulating over 3.3 million labor hours dedicated to maintaining its regional jets.
This new agreement secures the future of this productive relationship, scheduling an additional 225 heavy maintenance visits. A key feature of the extended contract is the allocation of three dedicated maintenance bays exclusively for Republic Airways’ use within the Embraer facility. This dedicated space is designed to provide consistent capacity, enhance scheduling efficiency, and offer greater flexibility for the airline’s ongoing maintenance needs
